Three Sixty Degrees

Vide

Cat's Eye

Oil on canvas 3200mm x 800mm
An observation or experience, forming an individual interpretations referred to as
'My Point of View '.
“I gazed – and gazed – but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.”
Daffodils (By William Wordsworth)
The piece was developed as a proposed 7 panel mural project for a corrugated wall belonging to a warehouse outside Charring Cross Station, London.

The wall ran directly parallel to the train track at a distance of 70ft. The corrugation was of a 4″ Box Rib wall panel construction 140ft long. The design made use of the 45º degree angled planes, creating a dynamic shape change while moving along parallel to the surface - as from a moving vehicle, in this case a passing train.

The painting 'Vide' is a maquette of the original design. Painted in oils on a corrugated epoxy hardened canvas, as a row of five panels - dimensions 3200mm x 800mm.
